Does TNT do paid collabs?

Paid collabs split producers about as cleanly as any question in the business.

The arrangement

The arrangement is simple enough: a producer with placements charges for a co-production, and the producer paying gets both the work and the association. One camp reads that as a working professional charging for their time, which is what professionals do. The other reads it as selling proximity to people who cannot yet tell the difference between access and a shortcut, and points out that the buyer's actual problem is rarely a missing co-producer.

What you are actually buying

Both readings describe real situations, which is why the useful question is not whether paid collabs are legitimate in general. It is what specifically you are buying, and whether the person selling it is honest about the fact that a name on a beat does not move it any closer to an artist by itself.

TNT gets asked directly by Chris Legrett in the video above. He also covers how he handles the business side of loops.
